Lujain
by Iqra

Our story

Founded in Amsterdam, made to last far beyond a season.

Lujain began in a small Amsterdam studio, with Iqra searching for an abaya she could wear to work, to family gatherings, and to quiet evenings alone — and finding nothing that felt both modest and truly considered.

So she made one. Then another. Each piece drafted by hand, fitted on real bodies, and refined until the drape fell exactly right. That patient process is still how every Lujain abaya begins today.

We work in fabrics chosen for how they move and how they age: Japanese crepe, silk-blend nidha, brushed linen. Nothing is chosen for speed, and nothing is made in volumes we cannot inspect ourselves.

Our commitment is simple — elegant, timeless abayas. No seasonal churn, no trend-led silhouettes. Pieces you reach for again in five years, still finished with the details that reward a closer look.

Considered fabric

Natural and natural-blend cloth, selected for drape, weight, and longevity.

Made slowly

Small runs, finished and checked by hand in our Amsterdam atelier.

Designed to endure

Silhouettes we stand behind season after season, not styles that expire.
